This happened a week ago. The first day I woke with a sore throat, but the second day I had a fever of fact and law. The third day the fever began to disappear, but my throat has not improved. It took two days for my sore throat disappear altogether, but if it is painful to gargle with salt - I agree with it - to remove mucus and swelling. I spit and gargle twice, and the next day I felt better than the whole week. Hope this helps.
